The story line of a game is very important. It can directly affect a games success and how well you enjoy playing it.

The story line in Crysis is quite familiar yet at the same time very unique. Although alien invasions and spaceships are nothing new to the world of stories, some of the details of Crysis are very unique. The effects the spaceship has aswell as how the aliens look and behave are all very unique. My point is, Crysis has a kick ass story line.

The Story
Earth, 2020: A colossal asteroid crashes down to Earth.

(yes, it was 2019, now Crytek is saying 2020)

Global tensions have reached boiling point as the U.S. and North Korea square off in the South China Sea. At stake: a mysterious artifact uncovered by a team of U.S. archeologists.

The North Korean government quickly seizes the area, prompting the U.S. to dispatch an elite team of Special Forces operatives on a rescue mission. During the siege the true nature of the artifact quickly emerges, pointing to the existence of an alien presence on Earth, and ultimately the trigger for a massive-scale alien invasion.

The battle to save Earth begins as the aliens’ flash freeze the tropics into a ghostly-white frozen landscape.

As gamers take up arms against the aliens, they will be outfitted with customizable weapons and a high tech Nanosuit, allowing them to adapt their tactics and abilities to a hostile, ever-changing environment and a mysterious enemy.

NVIDIA ForceWare 169.09 for Crysis released 4 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 7
There is some good news for some of you SLi users and Crysis players in general, ForceWare 169.09 is out; it supports SLI for Crysis.

Notes:

* Beta driver for GeForce 6, 7, and 8 series GPUs.
* Recommended driver for Crysis.
* Several game and application compatibility fixes. Please read the release notes for more information on product support, features, driver fixes and known compatibility issues.

This driver:

o Adds SLI support for Crysis
o Fixes a water reflection bug in Crysis
o Adds Control Panel anisotropic filtering support for Crysis

With this driver, SLI will deliver 40-50% speedup over a single GPU for Crysis. In addition, Crytek will release a patch in the next week or two that will improve SLI performance further.

Download:

ForceWare 169.09 XP 32-bit
ForceWare 169.09 XP 64-bit
ForceWare 169.09 Vista 32-bit
ForceWare 169.09 Vista 64-bit

Hope this improves performance!, come back with results if you want

It looks that now nv and ati have almost same image quality. + nvidia will increase performance again. But ... there is so few 8800GT avaiable ;/
Sli performance ... and new graphic drivers.
That's what Crossfire lacks of.
Ati need to relase new drivers, because there is no performance in crysis when card work in crossfire mode.

P.S. Maybe Crysis don't have crossfire mode(profile) also ? (like Sli)
P.S.2. I wait for some tests !

those Nvidia Drivers maybe are good for Crysis but in mean time they will slow down different games performance !

About SLI and crossfire, i think same as for SLI you can activate crossfire manually in your ini file !
