The story line of a game is very important. It can directly affect a games success and how well you enjoy playing it.

The story line in Crysis is quite familiar yet at the same time very unique. Although alien invasions and spaceships are nothing new to the world of stories, some of the details of Crysis are very unique. The effects the spaceship has aswell as how the aliens look and behave are all very unique. My point is, Crysis has a kick ass story line.

The Story
Earth, 2020: A colossal asteroid crashes down to Earth.

(yes, it was 2019, now Crytek is saying 2020)

Global tensions have reached boiling point as the U.S. and North Korea square off in the South China Sea. At stake: a mysterious artifact uncovered by a team of U.S. archeologists.

The North Korean government quickly seizes the area, prompting the U.S. to dispatch an elite team of Special Forces operatives on a rescue mission. During the siege the true nature of the artifact quickly emerges, pointing to the existence of an alien presence on Earth, and ultimately the trigger for a massive-scale alien invasion.

The battle to save Earth begins as the aliens’ flash freeze the tropics into a ghostly-white frozen landscape.

As gamers take up arms against the aliens, they will be outfitted with customizable weapons and a high tech Nanosuit, allowing them to adapt their tactics and abilities to a hostile, ever-changing environment and a mysterious enemy.

Hey every1, just caught this today. Post if you notice any improvements under DX-10.

ATI Releases Crysis Hotfix for Radeon HD 3800 and 2000 Series
ATI has released 737-30533 hotfix for Radeon HD 3800 and 2000 series of video cards.

This update is intended for Crysis and Windows XP or Windows Vista 32/64-bit. It mainly fixes graphical corruption issues, but it also fixes up other things such as:
DirectX 10: Fixes texture flickering in bushes, clouds, trees
DirectX 10: Performance improvements
DirectX 9: Fixes Anti-Aliasing corruption seen on the ATI Radeon 2900 Series
DirectX 9: Anti-Aliasing performance enhancements
DirectX 9: Crossfire performance improvements
DirectX 9: Fixes random graphics corruption during game play

ATI Crysis Hotfix Vista
ATI Crysis Hotfix XP

Although im an nvidia card owner, I'd like to hear if there are improvements with DX10/DX9.
