What is the point in Multi-player ranked matches if no ranks are kept?

There are no official ranks like in game so no point in having ranked games yet for that, they had ranks in the beta and they worked in the chat room you could see the kills etc.

There are some sites that monitor crysis servers though and give a pretty accurate rank.
