Crysis Environments and Locations

The environments in Crysis will be huge. Each multiplayer map will span for many kilometres.

Crysis will be played in three main envrionments. The tropical jungle, the frozen jungle, and inside the alien ship. You will also spend a bit of time on the aircraft carrier which is positioned off the coast of the island.

Thanks to CryEngine2, Crysis will be able to display the most detailed environments ever to be seen in real-time.

This will enable Crytek to have more power over what they want the game to look like and what mood they want each scene to have. Let me go in to some more detail about each type of environment.

I said I would upgrade in the end of october but I'm still sitting here, CoD4 released , with my crappy computer . Everytime I check the prices and see what the end price is I don't relly feel like paying.

So I'm thinking about skipping the GTX and get a 8800 GT instead. What do you guys say?

go for the GT, if i had a choice beetween the 2 id take the GT easy, GTX isnt worth it no more.

I totally agree... The GT in the end stacks up alomst to the GTX and surpasses the GTS.

Well, but he may wait and buy refreshed GTX (coming at begining of December as far as I know).

But atm - you're right GT is best option.

For the price GT is best out there at the moment!

guessing those will be pretty expensive when they come.. no?

GT it is then. Though I wont get it until the end of this month, the store gets it around the 20th. I'm changing the motherboard also, would be nice to be able to buy another GT and go with SLI sometime.
