The story line of a game is very important. It can directly affect a games success and how well you enjoy playing it.

The story line in Crysis is quite familiar yet at the same time very unique. Although alien invasions and spaceships are nothing new to the world of stories, some of the details of Crysis are very unique. The effects the spaceship has aswell as how the aliens look and behave are all very unique. My point is, Crysis has a kick ass story line.

The Story
Earth, 2020: A colossal asteroid crashes down to Earth.

(yes, it was 2019, now Crytek is saying 2020)

Global tensions have reached boiling point as the U.S. and North Korea square off in the South China Sea. At stake: a mysterious artifact uncovered by a team of U.S. archeologists.

The North Korean government quickly seizes the area, prompting the U.S. to dispatch an elite team of Special Forces operatives on a rescue mission. During the siege the true nature of the artifact quickly emerges, pointing to the existence of an alien presence on Earth, and ultimately the trigger for a massive-scale alien invasion.

The battle to save Earth begins as the aliens’ flash freeze the tropics into a ghostly-white frozen landscape.

As gamers take up arms against the aliens, they will be outfitted with customizable weapons and a high tech Nanosuit, allowing them to adapt their tactics and abilities to a hostile, ever-changing environment and a mysterious enemy.

Ragdoll Physics & Decals on Dead Enemies 4 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 7
I bet many of you were waiting this type of news, well it came, as some modders at crymod figured out a way to enable Ragdoll Physics and Bullet Decals on dead enimeies. Yet, picking, throwing and, dropping of dead ones is not yet available. These are the steps to follow to enable the Physics and Decals:

First download these two files:

This modified BasicActor.lua (v1.1) enables bullet decals and ragdoll physics.
- Download BasicActor.lua

With this modified SinglePlayer.lua the dead enemies will react when hit.
- Download SinglePlayer.lua

Then follow these instructions to install the modifications:

- Go to \Crysis\Game\ folder.
- Make a backup copy of GameData.pak
- Open GameData.pak with a program like WinRAR, etc.
- Inside the GameData.pak go to \Scripts\Entities\actor\
- Replace BasicActor.lua with the downloaded one (you can just drag and drop the file).
- Still inside the GameData.pak go to \Scripts\GameRules\
- Replace SinglePlayer.lua with the downloaded one.
- Exit WinRAR and start the game.

Note: If you use modified object files, scripts, textures in Multiplayer, the cheat protection won't let you play. Therefore make sure that you first make a backup copy of GameData.pak so that you can always go back to the unmodified settings.

Enjoy Blastin off!
