Crysis is an epic masterpiece combining the best of Science Fiction and First Person Shooters. It's the game everyones talking about, why you may ask, well, read on and you'll find out.

Crysis is the follow up to Crytek's first game and blockbuster, FarCry. Crytek has learned a lot since they made FarCry, they've learnt what was good about FarCry aswell as what was bad about FarCry.

So, what happens when you take the good, change the bad and then mix it up in to one big pot. You guessed it, you get Crysis.

Crysis will revolutionize gaming in more ways than one. It will give the gamer a whole new level of realism (thanks to the graphics) and will change what people call "immersive gameplay" (thanks to the gameplay and dynamics). The German game magazine PC Games got the chance to interview the Creative Director Clint Hocking of Far Cry 2.

As according to the German PC Games article on FC2, five basic essentail details stood out as being most vital and eye catching, which list as follows:

    Translated:

Is this game with such freedom still a shooter?

Despite the many freedoms and the many missions the focus of the core still to kill enemy people. So far, the developers built more than 30 weapons, from knives to the grenade's all there..

Does Far Cry 2 follow the line structured gameplay of Far Cry?

No. Far Cry 2 is a fully accessible world. You will be able to explore a world of 50 square kilometer.

    Devastation of FC2 vs. Crysis?

Although plants, trees, branches, buildings and other things are completely destructible, plants regenerate itself over time (as they grow in real life), and buildings get their actual form after certain time. Likewise soldiers will respawn at destroyed bases. As a result, the game is always interesting remain consistently different approaches in the game.

Will there be a map editor?

The answer is definitely "yes". However, it is still unclear how this works and what functionality it offers.

Does the weather as also as day-/night cycle have playful effects?

Yes. With rain around objects are burning significantly worse. The opponents sleep at night which allows surreptitious maneuver similar to Splinter Cell (not as pronounced).
How quickly does the time go by in Far Cry 2?
The developers still need some time to make a final decision, but currently there is a ratio of 1:4 or 1:6 to reckon with ~ 14 hours a day and 10 hours in the night would be to play.

How long is the duration (may be false translated?) of Far Cry 2?

To expect more than 100 hours of fun if you explore the whole world and solve all the missions. With 50 hours to be a regular player and in 8 hours, if you just concentrate on the missions.
