Crysis Environments and Locations

The environments in Crysis will be huge. Each multiplayer map will span for many kilometres.

Crysis will be played in three main envrionments. The tropical jungle, the frozen jungle, and inside the alien ship. You will also spend a bit of time on the aircraft carrier which is positioned off the coast of the island.

Thanks to CryEngine2, Crysis will be able to display the most detailed environments ever to be seen in real-time.

This will enable Crytek to have more power over what they want the game to look like and what mood they want each scene to have. Let me go in to some more detail about each type of environment.

Some of you who've been regularly checking out and testing the beta drivers from nvidia for Crysis may seem not-too satisfied with its FPS gains and overall performance. Well, lately I've kept a close watch onto the gains that were offered by the regluarly released beta forceware drivers from nvidia, and according to the overall responses of the 171.16's performance and FPS gain, I think this one is really worth trying and checking out. Vista/SP1 users also were delighted by its results as some got 10 fps boost, some 7, but the average gain was with the range of 2 to 6 fps; XP users also experienced noticeable gains as Vista ones'; even others complained for its hindering and reverted back to old drivers. Yet again, please remember: Nobody's results are the same depends on ur systems and other things. I figured it was maybe worth checkin out!
