Hi guys i was wondering why iw as getting such low frame rates in crysis. i think i should be able to run crysis at medium settings but i think my processor is bottlenecking my GPU's. anyone with any advice?
My system spec is

Amd Turion ML-30 1.6GHZ
Nvidia 7900 gs 256MB in sli
80GB 7200 hard drive
WXGUA monitor @ 1400 X 900

I think that both your processor and GPU“s are just a little bit to weak to be able to run Crysis on all medium.

I myself got a Intel core Duo @ 2.13GHz 3GbRam and a Nvidia 7950 GT Pro 512Mb(wich is compareable with ur 2 7900 in sli) and I cant run Crysis with all set to medium oh well I CAN but its just a little bit to laggy for me..

Have you tried to"play" some with ur settings?

Do you have XP or vista?

if tried to play around with some of my settings . i can run cryis at 46 fps on low settings at 800 x 600 i can run at 24 fps at my monitor native res

anyways im runnin xp media center edition and i havnt got the latest drivers.. my school has blocked all downloads but not attachments in emails. i dont think its a driver related issue cuz i had vista a couple of days ago with the latest drivers installed and performance was still sucky. ive got alienwares M9700 if u want to know. if u can mail me the latest drivers for sli in laptops as an attachment that would be pretty helpfull... thanks

Now back to topic, As Mentioned above your system is alittle weak not only that would it be possible to tell me what power supply you have, that tends to help out with games alot too.

Now i dunno how old are you or if you can afford it or not but maybe a new upgrade if you can afford it, a BFG 8800GTX 712mb Gfx card & 4 gigs of ram, also a very good CPU.

lol. i have a laptop.. none of those upgrades would be possible. but im goin to get a "crytop" (desktop in lay mans terms lol), so i can run crysis at full.. but does my cpu bottleneck my GPU and is there a way to combat this

And i assume its Geforce Go 7900Gs u got?

It seems like he 169.04 is workin best for people with laptops and crysis
But I think you will have to check this page for urself because people have some diffrent problems with diffrent cards/drivers...
Anyway these guys modify the inf file so they can run the drivers with Go cards..

So see if you spot the best driver and name it and I will fix it for you..
