Appearance The appearance of characters in Crysis will be far superior to any other game currently available. The amazing models, textures and animations will be all possible due Cryteks creative team of programmers and artists. By looking at the image below, you can see how life like the characters appear. Every character in Crysis is unique. Meaning you'll never see two people that look identical. On top of that, there will be a lot of unique clothing which will enhance that sense of uniqueness. Personalities Personality will be a lot easier to detect and portray for many reasons. In past games, personality was almost nonexistent due to the terribly fake animations and lack of facial expressions. Of course, personality also depends on great sound. CryEngine2 supports animation blending and allows the animators to produce more complex and detailed animations. Facial movements and expression will look extremely accurate and will sync with characters voices perfectly. Behavior Behavior of a character generally reflects their personality and their realism. Like explained above, due to the extraordinary character appearance and animations in Crysis, behavior will greatly enhance the experience. In the past, animations use to be slow, stiff and unnatural. This was mainly because of the limited hardware power, but software was also a large hindrance (such as DirectX) The AI in Crysis is unmatched, and the game supports 100's of unique character animations and behaviours. If you were to watch an AI character from a distance, you'll notice them perform tasks such as talking to other characters, smoking, scratching, patrolling and many more things which you'd expect. |
